Everyone has pictures of there kids.......our next generation of sprouts. here is mine in a backyard with her friends, Natalie and Ben. Although my little one battles terrible excema she is having a rare junk food pig out of popsicle :) I love her so much.

okay I am off to a yoga class, but my ear is clogged........ugggh. what to do? warm olive oil? it's crazy to not be able to hear. but i can do everything else.....it's like my world is being processed in a 1 second lag time. In a way it is beautiful because it turns all noise into long harmonious tunes. the clanking of metal........an airplane rumbling over my downtown seattle house.

Okay, change of topic...who's excited about life on mars:) You know they might find it in the ice or not........we'll hopefully find out in only a few days!!!

SWISS CHARD AND GROWING THANGS!

My greatest interest at the moment is the swiss chard i am growing in my back yard. its the first food i have ever actually tried to grow that I THINK IS GROWING! this is actually quite a feat for me and more exciting than you can ever know hahahah! now me and my little one are working on growing new patches of grass in all the areas ive pulled out the yucky cloverleaf. i often wonder though, cloverleaf is really pretty.......so how did it become a weed anyway? and why is grass ( the stuff on every lawn) planted everywhere as the perfect domesticated plant? While i was at it, i thought i would put a picture of my little one pele in the swiss chard picture. I mean, she is growing to even if she is not a plant!

New artwork

I am working now on handpainting and what I am thinking of as "collage"ideas for tops and pants. This newest top is a great creme color and is great for people trying to switch to organics. A fun mix of materials. I always feel like the handpainting I do on individual pieces brings some spirit to them in a usable way. Whoever wears the handpainting is graced with a little bit of the best of my life to you........How else to explain? Like going to a restaurant and the great meal sits with you for awhile, makes you feel special. Like you really took care of yourself. When I do my painting, I am so happy to share a little of that "vibe" with you. Its especially great when it is free flowing and not mass produced. The intention is direct and meant for you to enjoy!

okay i had to add this elephant for good luck.........food money health and lotsa and lotsa of hugs and kisses from people we adore....oh, and can i get a little sunshine in SEattle Ganesha? JUST A LITTLE???? I want to bring my 2 year old to the beach and play with ladybugs tooo!

sorry the site was down about a day ago. Seattle is having winter in summer right now. concert

Went to see erykah badu in concert at marymoore park. she was inspiring and interesting. she focused a lot on her old music.........but i still loved it!

Taking care of the family and child leave little time for myself these days. It does goes in cycles though and I seem to splurge on yoga and exercise right before someone gets sick!! hhhaha. So, we went to Lake Washington today and took some fun pictures. It was hard to keep my little one from chasing me around. She was having a hard time letting daddy gordon just take pictures of me in the clothes for the site, but if you look on hlgarrick.com, you will see a few we managed to create before I held her and kissed her and let her know....she didn't REALLY lose our center stage!!! This new career of juggling isn't for the faint hearted I tell you! SO, since little pele was the REAL part of our photo shoot, i thought it was only pertinent to include her in my blog at least! Lots of kisses for you honey and all the little ones out there that need our love and support..........down to the little baby ladybugs!
